Revenue's Customs Service said - that following routine profiling - officers seized 42kgs of herbal cannabis, with a street value of €840,000, at the Portlaoise Mail Centre.
The drugs were found after the Revenue's sniffer dog, Stella, gave a positive reaction on a parcel described on its documentation as 'food and spices'. The parcel was consigned from West Africa to an address in North Dublin.
