French 'Jungle camp' being cleared by authorities

French authorities will start clearing the Jungle migrant camp in Calais this morning.

Clashes have erupted between police and protesters overnight - with demonstrators vowing to disrupt today's operation.

Sky's Europe Correspondent Mark Stone says the camp's estimated 6,500 residents will be taken to a warehouse where they'll be divided into groups for relocation: "Buses will take them to these different camps that only exception will be the unaccompanied children who will taken to a different part of the jungle then those children will be assesed by the British authority and. Some of them will then be taken to the UK."

According to Sky News, the migrants are registering and being divided into four queues, young single men, families, children and the vulnerable.

The children will possibly be sent to the UK and the others will be transported to 150 temporary accomodation centres around France.
