Donald Trump is Time Magazine’s Person Of The Year

Donald Trump has been named Time magazine’s Person of the Year.

The US president-elect went from fiery underdog to win the White House over Democrat Hillary Clinton.

The Manhattan property magnate won the Electoral College vote, while Mrs Clinton won the popular vote.

Time’s managing editor Nancy Gibbs said Mrs Clinton was the number two finalist.

Time said its Person Of The Year is "the person who had the greatest influence, for better or worse, on the events of the year...So which is it this year: Better or worse? The challenge for Donald Trump is how profoundly the country disagrees about the answer".
