Parents of missing Arthur, 15, urge him to make contact

The parents of a schoolboy who has been missing for five weeks have appealed to him directly to get in touch with them.

Arthur Heeler-Frood, aged 15, of Axminster in Devon failed to turn up to school on September 6 and has been missing since then.

Pleading with her son, Arthur's mother Caroline said she and his father Jeremy are "missing you terribly".

In an appeal issued through Devon and Cornwall police Mrs Heeler-Frood said: "We don't know that you are safe or what situation you're in. I don't think you realise how hard it is for us, please make contact."

The force has urged anyone or any organisation which may have come into contact with Arthur to contact police.

Superintendent Sam de Reya said: "We are appealing to business owners, likely to be restaurateurs, hoteliers and cafe owners who may have had a young man work for them in the last four to five weeks or anyone who may have provided accommodation to him in that time period."

The teenager is described as white, 5ft 4in tall, of slight build with short, light brown hair which may be short or shaven.
