Russian president Vladimir Putin has said that Moscow is ready for closer co-operation with France against terrorism.

Russian president Vladimir Putin has said that Moscow is ready for closer co-operation with France against terrorism.

He spoke while welcoming visiting French president Francois Hollande for talks focusing on joint efforts to fight Islamic State.

Mr Hollande said that it is necessary to closely co-operate in the fight against the common enemy while seeking a political solution in Syria.
