Gardaí and revenue officers have seized over 370g of cannabis thought to be worth €2.4m at Dublin Port.

Gardaí and revenue officers have seized over 370g of cannabis thought to be worth €2.4m at Dublin Port.

The drugs were found hidden in crates in a truck that came from Holyhead yesterday evening.

A drug detector dog named Holly helped sniff the haul out, and it was confirmed by Revenue's Mobile X-Ray Scanner.

Gardaí from the ational Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force, seized 376kg of cannabis resin and 9.7kg of herbal cannabis.

A 41-year-old Northern Irish man was arrested and is being held at Store Street Garda station.

Investigations are ongoing with the cooperation of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
