Hundreds of people are taking part in a protest in Dublin calling for abortion to be legalised in Ireland.

Hundreds of people are taking part in protests calling for abortion to be legalised in Ireland.

Over 1,000 Pro-Choice campaigners took part in the protest outside the GPO in Dublin.

Similar protests took place in Cork and Galway - as well as London and Berlin.

It comes as the controversy continues over the handling of a case in which a woman who was raped was refused an abortion.

Her baby was delivered instead at 24 weeks by Caesarean section under the Protection of Life During Pregnancy legislation.
