A private foster care service operating in the south region has closed down after being told by Tusla that no further children should be placed with it.

A HIQA inspection carried out at Oak Lodge Fostering Service in January 2018 found five major non-compliances.

A report out today shows a follow up inspection in September showed two major breaches in the areas of safeguarding and child protection and management and monitoring.
