Over four out of five Irish adults read newspapers on a regular basis.

The latest readership survey shows that print remains the dominant medium for newspaper content, with 2.9m people having read a printed newspaper within the past week.

A further half a million would have read content online, an increase of 26% year on year.

The Joint National Listenership Readership Survey also shows a high level of crossover amongst print and digital readers, with three quarters of online readers also reading print.

Those in Dublin are most likely to read a digital edition, at 23%, compared to 14% in the rest of the country.
