It has emerged that the man who's body parts were found at a recycling plant in Ballyfermot is most likely a foreign national.

It has emerged that the man who's body parts were found at a recycling plant in Ballyfermot is most likely a foreign national.

According to the Herald, neurological screws found in the skull -discovered in a skip at Thornton's recycling plant in July - were not from an Irish hospital.

Detectives have concluded that the victim was in all probability a foreign national.

Just three Irish hospitals could have carried out the type of brain surgery found on the skull and it did not take place here.

However, it is understood there is still no solid lead in the investigation which has now gone global and Gardaí have yet to identify the remains.

So far 250 statements have been taken and 300 lines of inquiry are being followed.
