Easter Rising commemorations take place
The President is to lay a wreath outside Dublin's GPO today honouring those who gave their lives in the Easter Rising.
Michael D Higgins will be joined by the Taoiseach and the Minister for Justice as they mark 98 years since the uprising.
Among the day's events will be be an air corps fly-over and a reading of the proclamation of the Irish Republic.
