Republic of Ireland fans will be delighted to see team captain Robbie Keane in fine goalscoring form for his club side ahead of Wednesday’s friendly against Oman.

The LA Galaxy were playing their big derby match last night, the ‘Superclasico’ against Chivas USA.

Keane didn’t start the game but wasn’t long making his presence felt when he did come on; dancing past defenders and then chipping the ball over the keeper’s head.

The goal was so impressive Galaxy coach Bruce Arena bowed to him when it went in.

Galaxy went on to win the match 3-0 and Ireland fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that he brings that form with him to the Aviva Stadium on Wednesday night.
