Tottenham have announced the signing of Benjamin Stambouli from Montpellier.

A fee was agreed for Stambouli on Saturday and the 24-year-old midfielder completed his switch to White Hart Lane on Monday after passing a medical.

The former France Under-21 international is Spurs’ sixth signing of the summer after the arrivals of Federico Fazio, DeAndre Yedlin, Ben Davies, Michel Vorm and Eric Dier.

Tottenham tweeted: “SIGNED! We have completed the transfer of Benjamin Stambouli from Montpellier.”
