A protest is taking place in Derry against a dissident group behind a number of so-called punishment shootings and beatings in the city.

The move comes as Republican Action Against Drugs claims to have lifted death threats against two local men.

Last week it shot two men and threatened two others.

SDLP Assembly member Pat Ramsey said: "Clearly the group has now reacted to public anger at what has happened but it needs to do more."
