Field sports get €7m boost
Over €7m is to be invested in development of field sports.
The funding will help organisations including the GAA, FAI and IRFU develop their games around the country at grass roots level.
It is hoped in particular, the funding will encourage and create more opportunities for young people to participate in field sports.
Minister for Sport Michael Ring added €2.7m euro will be allocated to the FAI, €2.4m to the GAA and just under €2.4m for the IRFU.
