A 55 year old man has been airlifted to hospital - after he fell while walking in Glendalough in Co. Wicklow.

A 55 year old man has been airlifted to hospital - after he fell while walking in Glendalough in Co. Wicklow.

The alarm was raised at around 12.30 this afternoon - and the Irish Coastguard was dispatched to the scene.

The injured man was taken to Tallaght Hospital in Dublin with head injuries. His condition is unknown.
