Australian actor Craig McLachlan has left a stage show and production of a television series he was to star in has been suspended after three actresses accused him of indecent assault, sexual harassment and bullying.

The 52-year-old actor has denied the allegations that were first reported in the media on Monday.

The complainants were cast members of a 2014 production of The Rocky Horror Show, in which McLachlan starred.

McLachlan has denied all allegations detailed in the media.

McLachlan recently reprised his Rocky Horror role, but had left the production because of the allegations.

Producers of a television series starring McLachlan say preparations for a seventh season have been put on hold.
