The Irish number one beat David Obernosterer of Austria in straight games in Denmark today.

Evans eased to a 21-7 win in the opening game, but found himself 18-10 down in the second game before winning 11 consecutive points to win the match.

He will play the winner of Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia, the number one seed and world number one, or Dieter Domke of Germany, who Evans beat in the final in Brazil Grand Prix.
