Ireland's Nicolas Roche is in third place after the time-trial opening stage of this year's Vuelta a Espana cycling.

He was just behind today's stage winner Rohan Dennis - with Tour de France winner Chris Froome nine-seconds back.

The riders will remain in France for a 203-kilometre stage between Nimes and Gruissan on Sunday.
