A man was stopped and arrested in the Ballymun area earlier today by gardaí investigating the sale and supply of illegal drugs.

A man was stopped and arrested in the Ballymun area earlier today by gardaí investigating the sale and supply of illegal drugs.

A number of vehicles were searched. Cocaine and illegal tablets with a combined estimated street value of €83,000 (subject to analysis) were seized.

Three vehicles were also seized during the operation.

A male in his 30s was arrested and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Ballymun Garda Station.
