The most likely types of cyber attacks in Ireland are malware or on financial data - and a new survey shows many organisations are not prepared for them and don't have the resources to deal with them
Hugh Callaghan from EY, which carried out the research, said that while there is a growing awareness, organisations are not taking precautions.
"They can identify the assets that matter to them most and understand the threats that put those at risk," he said.
"They can use an intelligence-led approach to anticipate attacks so they can react quickly to prevent attacks turning into breaches."
