A Swedish appeals court has increased the sentences for three men convicted over a gang rape which was streamed live on a closed Facebook group.

The Svea Court of Appeal said one man convicted of rape and assistance to rape will now serve 32 months - four months longer - for rape and assistance to rape.

The court said sentences were raised by four months to 16 months for a second man, and by two months to eight months for the third.

The victim was ruled to be under "heavy influence" and unable to give her consent, contrary to the men's claims.

The teenager and two men in their 20s were arrested north of Stockholm in January, after police received tips about the streaming and the rape.
