Arrest made after man walks into Dublin pub with shotgun

A man sparked an alert after walking into a pub in Dublin with a shotgun yesterday evening.

It happened at a bar on the Old Rush Road at around 5pm.

Gardai carried out a search of a house in nearby Kenure Park a short time later, and seized a number of firearms and a quantity of ammunition.

A man in his forties was arrested and brought to Balbriggan Garda station where he was questioned and later released.

A file on the case is being prepared for the DPP and investigations are ongoing.
