Check out Nathan Carter's Hillsborough tribute performed on the Late Late Show last night

Nathan Carter appeared on The Late Late Show last night singing a song he wrote in honour of the 96 victims who lost their lives in the Hillsborough incident.

Originally from Merseyside, it was clear the song called 'Liverpool' meant a lot to the young man and the sentiment resonated with the audience, both in studio and at home.

Twitter of course was bursting with comment as people shared their views on the musician’s tribute.

Many were impressed with his talent and the lyrical homage was well received.

All in all, not a bad addition to The Late Late Show.
