The Cabinet meets in Cork today as part of the Taoiseach's pledge to hold special meetings across the country.

Leo Varadkar and his Ministers will discuss Brexit and health during the session.

The Taoiseach's day starts at the revamped Pairc Ui Chaoimh with a business breakfast for Cork Chamber of Commerce.

Leo Varadkar is expected to talk about investment in Cork Port and Airport as well as his hopes that the Rugby World Cup will be coming to the stadium.

The special Cabinet meeting will then move to UCC, where the morning session will be briefed by Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney on dozens of state agencies preparations for Brexit and the talk of the nightmare scenario this week of no deal.

After lunch, the Cabinet moves to Health with Minister Simon Harris briefing on the reality of the cost of all-party plan slaintecare and the small steps taken towards such a service in this year's Budget.
