Fine Gael maintains leading position (24%) in Red C poll
Efforts to 'Reboot Ireland' have failed to make a dent on the political landscape.
Lucinda Creighton's new unnamed party did not clock up a single point in the country's latest opinion poll, which surveyed 1,005 people between last Monday and Wednesday.
The RED C study for today's Sunday Business Post instead shows that Fine Gael are still the most popular party with a 24% approval rating.
Fianna Fáil has 19% of the vote, while Sinn Féin is on 20%.
Independents and others are on 28%.
Coalition partners Labour are on 9%, up three points from last month,
Labour TD for Cork South West, Michael Mc Carthy said: "Quite clearly what the poll shows is that the Independents are very soft on solutions.
"The soft options from the Independebnts, and to a lesser extent Sinn Féin, are not cutting ice with people."
