French referees will take charge of the Irish provinces' Champions and Challenge Cup quarter-finals.

Romain Poite has been appointed for the all-Irish Champions Cup quarter-final between Leinster and Ulster at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, March 30.

The experienced whistler was criticised by Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw after Ireland's Six Nations victory last Saturday.

Pascal Gauzère will be the man in the middle at Murrayfield earlier that day when Munster travel to face Edinburgh.

Connacht's Challenge Cup quarter-final away to Sale Sharks will be officiated by Mathieu Raynal on Friday, March 29.

Ireland’s John Lacey and George Clancy take charge of the games between La Rochelle and Bristol Bears, and Clermont Auvergne and Northampton Saints respectively.

Europe’s leading match officials will attend a two-day preparation meeting in London ahead of the quarter-finals weekend.
