Limerick held off a challenge from Galway in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final to secure their place in the final against Waterford.
The depth and strength of Limerick has been unmatched in this year's championship and John Kiely's team was the undoing of Galway in the end.

Earlier, Westmeath secured a place in next month’s All-Ireland Intermediate Ladies' Football Championship final, as a powerful second-half surge from Roscommon fell narrowly short in an enthralling contest at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park in Longford.
Westmeath were hotly fancied for this contest in their first year at the Intermediate grade for almost a decade, while Roscommon’s 2018 and 2019 seasons ended in heavy defeats to Meath at this stage of the competition.

Saturday results
In the All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final on Saturday, Kilkenny faced Waterford at Croke Park.
Waterford made a searing comeback victory to claim their first All-Ireland final appearance in three years.
Nine points down to Kilkenny close to the end of the first half, the Déise hit a stunning 1-11 in the third quarter to lead by three points at the second half water break, their goal coming from the outstanding Stephen Bennett.
Final result: Waterford 2-27 | Kilkenny 2-23
Earlier in ladies' football, Dublin secured a place in their seventh All-Ireland Senior Championship Final in a row after a ferocious battle with Armagh at Kingspan Breffni.
The returning Nicole Owens claimed an early goal for Dublin, while Aimee Mackin scored two goals for her side – including a brilliant second half strike – but it was Rowe’s brilliant showing from wing forward that proved to be Dublin’s guiding light.
The win means Dublin’s quest for a fourth All-Ireland title in a row remains on track, and they will face either Cork or Galway in the Croke Park Final on December 20th.

Kilkenny, despite only one second-half score from play, defeated Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie semi-final to make it through to a fifth consecutive final.
Final result: Kilkenny 2-10 | Cork 1-11
Galway held Tipperary at bay to set up a repeat of last year’s senior camogie final against Kilkenny.
A 15th minute goal by Carrie Dolan gave Galway the breathing space they needed to secure their place.
Final result: Galway 1-11 | Tipperary 0-8
Meanwhile in ladies' football, early goals from Niamh O’Sullivan and Stacey Grimes helped Meath qualify for a third straight All-Ireland Intermediate Final after they powered past Clare with an emphatic performance at O’Moore Park.
