Italy win 3-2 on penalties
Jorginho had the chance to win it for Italy but Pickford got down to turn his spot-kick on to the post. However, Saka could not take advantage and his fifth kick for England was saved again by Donnarumma.

28 mins extra time: It is starting to look like penalties. Both teams make changes in the final minutes.
Extra time first half: It remains all square, but Italy has the better possession. Breaks from Sterling and the introduction of Jack Grealish offer England hope.
Full-time: With 90 minutes up the final will go into extra-time! It was a tense six minutes of time added on, where Italy were camped in England’s half, but they could not force a chance.
85 minutes: Chiesa is eventually replaced by Bernardeschi as he appears to be carrying a knock.

66 minutes: GOAL! Italy have equalised from a corner as defender Leonardo Bonucci managed to squeeze it past Pickford.
Marco Verratti snuck in at the far post and his header was tipped on to the post by Pickford, but Bonucci tapped home the rebound.
61 minutes: Italy keep knocking on the door and Pickford was forced into his most testing save of the night. The Everton goalkeeper did brilliantly to get down low and keep out Chiesa’s shot.
57 minutes: The game nas reverted to a similar pattern of Italian domination of the ball and Insigne fired an effort at Pickford from an acute angle as they continued to search for an equaliser.

53 minutes: Italy attempts to change things, and they have made their first substitutions nine minutes after the restart. Bryan Cristante replaced Nicolo Barella and Ciro Immobile made way for Domenico Berardi.
47 minutes: England had a shout for a penalty three minutes after the restart as Raheem Sterling went down after trying to go past Bonucci but referee Bjorn Kuipers waved away protests.
The second half is underway!
45 minutes: England’s goal came under threat in first-half stoppage time as Italy fired two shots on goal in quick succession. First Ciro Immobile had an effort well blocked by John Stones and then Marco Verratti’s shot was easy for Pickford to save.
44 minutes: Italy continues to keep control of the ball but can't create any clear openings, as the game heads towards half-time.
35 minutes: Roberto Mancini’s side have begun to dominate possession. But England are defending compactly and managed to snuff out any danger as the game head towards half-time.

Italy suffered an injury problem midway through the first half as influential midfielder Jorginho went down. He went off for treatment and was able to return to the pitch, but looked troubled.
20 minutes: England continued to dominate at the 20-minute mark as they found space down both flanks. However, they lacked the quality in the final pass to allow them to create chances for further goals.
7 minutes: England survived a scare in the seventh minute as Lorenzo Insigne sent a curling free-kick from 25 yards over the crossbar.
2 minutes: GOAL! Luke Shaw has opened the scoring for England in the Euro 2020 final
They made a dream start and went ahead after only two minutes.
Harry Kane spread the play out to Trippier and the wing-back’s cross was rammed home at the far post by Luke Shaw as Wembley went wild.

The game gets underway!
England and Italy face off in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley Stadium this evening.
The Azzuri have won the tournament before back in 1968 when they hosted it. England meanwhile are looking for a first European championship in their history.

There have been reports of scuffles between fans and security with the London Metropolitan Police tweeting: “We supported the security teams at Wembley Stadium a short time ago with this incident.
“Wembley security officials have confirmed there was no security breaches of people without tickets getting inside the stadium.”
A man has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a bus in Wembley, the Metropolitan Police said.
“Police were called at 5.49pm on Sunday, July 11 to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus in High Road, Wembley,” a statement given to the PA news agency said.
“Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service.
“The pedestrian – a man – was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as non-life threatening.
“The driver of the bus stopped at the scene.
“No arrests were made. Enquiries are ongoing.”
