Lewis Hamilton has secured pole position ahead of tomorrow's Grand Prix in Silverstone.

The British driver trailed his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas in this morning's practice session, but Hamilton appeared to save his speed for when it really mattered.

The German team will once again lockout the front of the grid, with Bottas qualifying second, followed by Red Bull's Max Verstappen in third.

On the other side of the Red Bull garage, Alex Albon will be disappointed with his grid placement, only managing 12th, after crashing into the barriers in a Friday practice run.

Another Britton who pulled out all the stops was Lando Norris, who continued his impressive qualifying streak to take fifth, slotting in behind Ferrari's Charles LeClerc.

Sebastian Vettel's luck doesn't seem to changing any time soon in his Ferrari, scrapping into the top 10.

Having matched Michael Schumacher's record for the most race wins last time out in Hungary, Hamilton will be hoping to secure his seventh win at his home race tomorrow.

The Silverstone Grand Prix will begin at 2.10pm on Sunday.
