VIDEO: Hurling like you’ve never seen it before with Red Bull

Red Bull headed to the Premier county last week to celebrate the summer solstice in style with a tournament of hurling.

On June 21 five-a-side teams from around the country battled it out from dawn till dusk in the shadows of the Rock of Cashel.

Surrounded by flags and overlooked by a castle - the one-day event looks more like a set-piece from a Harry Potter film than the local GAA pitch.

But Hogwarts eat your heart out - hurling at the Rock of Cashel beats quidditch any day.

Galway star Joe Canning, a Red Bull athlete, was there to watch the tournament and crown the eventual winners by firelight.

Congratulations to local club the Cashel King Cormacs, who won out to become Red Bull Longest Day Champions for 2015.

Worth watching to the end for the final game played at sunset.

Tipperary’s looking well.
