Tipp fans hilariously pranked on ‘The Fear’
The jokers on RTÉ’s hidden camera show ‘The Fear’ turned their attention to GAA fans heading to Croker for the All-Ireland hurling final last month.
Comedy actress Hilary Rose was kitted out as a Counterfeit Enforcement Officer and two unsuspecting Tipp fans stopped to ask her directions.
They soon regretted it as she took way too close an interest in one man’s jersey.
“The stitching is all wrong on that,” Rose said, inspecting the top, “where did you say you got it?”
The two lads try to explain that he’s had the top for years, but she isn’t having any of it.
Rose: “It’s all faded, it’s not the official colour. And what’s this writing on the front?”
Fan: “It’s signed, he’s had it signed!”
Their politeness turned to disbelief as she stripped the jersey he was wearing off him and offered him a child sized replacement.
“Ah, you’ll get into that,” she assured him, “ you’re frame is small enough.
“You’ll be grand.”
The two Tipp fans showed remarkable restraint as Rose made him try on the tiny jersey and tried to convince him it looked good, before she eventually relented and told them they had been pranked.
Rose definitely found the two easiest-going hurling fans in Dublin that day.
