Football Qualifier draw: Tricky fixture for Meath

Round 2B of the football qualifiers was drawn this morning, and has thrown up some intriguing matches.

The Round 1B winners were in one pot and beaten semi-finalists from the provincial battles in the other.

Mick O'Dowd's Meath face a tricky away game against Tyrone.

Derry, narrowly beaten by Donegal at the weekend, will take on Wexford at home in the first pairing out of the pot.

The next two names drawn set up probably the pick of the round. Meath, reeling from their shock defeat to Westmeath - a historic championship first for these two teams - will also have to travel north and take on Tyrone in what should be a closely fought game of football.

In the only fixture to be played outside Ulster, Tipperary will welcome Louth.

The final pairing should also provide a gripping game - Galway make the journey up to Armagh.

Fixtures in full -

Armagh v Galway

Tipperary v Louth

Tyrone v Meath

Derry v Wexford

Dates and times to be confirmed by the CCCC this afternoon.
