A group of young GAA players from Cork, recently arrived in the US on J1 visas, were delighted to get a chance to play their native sports in the California sunshine.

Joey Beeching and his friends only arrived in San Diego last week, but when they heard there was a GAA Sevens tournament taking place there over the Memorial Day weekend (May 22-24) they decided to enter.

The Cork natives got the chance to pit their skills against teams from as far afield as Atlanta, Georgia and Austin, Texas - in the West Coast Gaelic Games Sevens

With thanks to Jerome Quinn for the video.
