Liam Kearns confirmed as new Tipperary football boss

The Tipperary County Board have confirmed the appointment Liam Kearns as their new senior football manager.

The former Limerick and Laois manager has been appointed to succeed Peter Creedon.

Kearns has previously managed in Tipperary, leading Aherlow to the County Senior title in 2010.

The Kerry native will be assisted by Tipp U21, Minor and Junior manager Tommy Toomey, who will act as one of his selectors along with Paul Fitzgerald and Shane Stapleton.

Meanwhile, Kearns, Fitzgerald and Stapleton will also act as Toomey's selectors with the Under-21s.
