GAA launches mental health support pack

The GAA will today launch a new campaign to help tackle the stigma surrounding talking about mental health.

The "Play in my Boots Pack" has been developed by the Association in partnership with St Patricks Mental Health Foundation and is aimed at anyone who plays sport.

The pack is designed to support the emotional wellbeing of sports people and can be downloaded from gaa.ie

Community and Health Manager with the GAA, Colin Regan, said the pack would also be distributed to every club in the country.

"We've added a mobile element with the WorkOut app, which has been developed by reachout.com," he said.

"It's a daily app people can use to make sure that they're keeping on top of their mental health and wellbeing."
