Jason Ryan last night left his role as manager of the Kildare footballers.
Ryan had worked as a selector under under Kieran McGeeney in 2013 before taking charge for the past two seasons.

They also struggled in the league, being relegated for the second successive season, to Division three.
The Irish Examiner reports that Ryan may now consider the vacant positions in Laois and Tipperary.

Ryan’s decision leaves both Kildare senior teams without management - hurling boss Brian Lawlor announced earlier in the week he would not be seeking another season in charge.
