Campaign to improve baby changing facilities in public places

Ireland's baby changing amenities are in need of a major revamp.

That is the message from a campaign to improve facilities at restaurants and other public places.

The public are being asked to nominate Ireland's most baby-friendly venues, in a contest run by Sudocrem.

Actor Simon Delaney says it can be tricky for dads, as most changing areas are in the Ladies: "All thoughts were embarrassment to leave the building maybe, because you have to get the job done.

"I mean the choice is that I change the child on the table in front of where you’re having your lunch or I go into the ladies and change them.

"Most people would say work away, go into the ladies, otherwise it will put me off my caesar salad."
