Bertie Ahern: Dedicated minister needed to deal with Brexit

Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern says there needs to be a dedicated minister to deal with Brexit.

The ex Fianna Fáil leader is appearing before a Lords committee in the U.K. alongside his fellow former Taoiseach John Bruton.

Mr Ahern said Ireland's interests need to be looked after in the negotiations.

He also called for a Brexit Minister - though Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan has said his Department can handle the negotiations without one.
