Elderly man declared missing in Cork city

Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing missing 84-year-old Denis Whyte.

Denis, from the UK, was last seen in the Barrack St area of Cork City at approximately 6am on Monday, November 24.

Denis is described as being bald and with grey hair at the sides.

He is 5’ 11” tall and wears glasses.

He is of thin build and usually wears a full suit and a three quarter-length cream jacket. He may appear to be confused, gardaí said.

Gardaí are concerned for his safety and anyone who has seen him or who can assist in locating him is asked to contact Anglesea Street Garda station on 021-4522000, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Update 10.20pm, Tuesday, November 25: Denis Whyte has been located safe and well.
