A woman's body has been exhumed in Limerick and taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem examination.

It follows the receipt of new information about the death of Margot Seery in 1994.

A preliminary examination was carried out by Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis at the graveyard in Rathkeale this afternoon.
