Joan Collins has pleaded not guilty to failing to comply with the directions of Garda at a water charge protest in Dublin last April.

Joan Collins has pleaded not guilty to failing to comply with the directions of Garda at a water charge protest in Dublin last April.

The United Left Alliance TD will stand trial in February with 10 others who are facing the same charge.

Three others are accused of using “threatening, insulting and abusive language” towards President Michael D Higgins at a separate protest.

They are due to be tried in March and the defence is going to see if the President can be summonsed to give evidence.
