Alcohol worth €15,500 has been seized at Dublin Port.

The 1,250 litres - 1,084 litres of wine and 164 litres of beer - of smuggled alcohol arrived into the port from Portugal.

The wine and beer represents a potential loss to the exchequer of more than €7,500.
