A €100m euro construction and tourism project is being lined up for Co Longford.

A €100m euro construction and tourism project is being lined up for Co Longford.

British resort company Centre Parcs has applied for planning permission for a complex at a Coillte owned forest near the village of Ballymahon.

It is believed the construction phase alone could create 600 jobs in the area.

The Taoiseach's expected to launch the ambitious plan tomorrow.
