Large Garda presence expected at Gary Hutch funeral today

A large Garda presence is expected this morning at the funeral of one Dublin's biggest gangland figures.

Gary Hutch will be laid to rest after 11am Mass at his north inner city parish on Seán McDermott Street.

The 34-year-old (pictured) was gunned down on the Costa del Sol almost two weeks ago.

Some of the country's most notorious criminals are expected to attend today's service including Gary's uncle Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch.

However, it is not yet known whether his brother Derek 'Del Boy' Hutch will be released from prison for the day.

The funeral congregation will be kept under surveillance against the background of a bitter feud between the Hutches and their rivals the Kinahan family.
