A 25-year-old man arrested in connection with a serious assault on a 20-year-old man in Armagh has been released on bail.

A 25-year-old man arrested in connection with a serious assault on a 20-year-old man in Armagh has been released on bail.

The victim, who lay undiscovered in a field off the Monaghan Road in the Millford area for a number of hours on Sunday, remains in a serious condition in hospital.

A second man, aged 24, was also arrested and questioned yesterday in connection with the attack.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
