The IFA has said more than 20 people have died on Irish farms so far this year, compared with 16 in 2013.
The farming representative group will host a farm safety seminar at the HSA-Teagasc national conference in Kilkenny today.
Psychologists and farmers will come together to look at ways to change dangerous behaviours and attitudes on farms.
IFA president Eddie Downey said farmers needed to consider safety at all times.
"Farmers are much more safety conscious (than they were in the past). It's just the busy nature of farming (that means they need to be) more vigilant as they go about their work," he said.
"We'll continue to try to raise awareness of this issue."
