A 40-year-old man has been shot in both ankles in Derry.

PSNI investigate after man shot in both ankles in Derry

A 40-year-old man has been shot in both ankles in Derry.

Four masked men were involved in the paramilitary-style attack in the Culdaff Gardens area on Monday night, PSNI Chief Inspector Gordon McCalmont said.

The victim is being treated in hospital for injuries which are not life-threatening.

Detectives appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
