A French fishing boat has been detained off the south of Cork.

A French fishing boat has been detained off the south of Cork.

It has been brought under detention following an alleged breach of fishing regulations.

The vessel is being escorted by the Naval Service to Castletownbere, where it will be handed over to An Garda Síochána.

This is the ninth vessel detained by the Naval Service so far this year.
