A doctor has been found guilty of poor professional performance by the Medical Council's Fitness to Practice Committee.

A doctor has been found guilty of poor professional performance by the Medical Council's Fitness to Practice Committee.

The ruling against Dr Dawar Siddiqi relates to allegations about his performance during his time as radiologist at Bantry Hospital between May and September 2013.

The Medical Council committee will announce sanctions against Dr Siddiqi at later date.

Reporter Liz Farsaci has been covering the committee hearings.

"He was found guilty of poor professional performance specifically the allegation relates to some CT scans, there were allegations that he made serious errors."
